People in the town of Mato are calling for roads to be repaired and more investment in training young people

According to reports gathered from residents, the roads linking Mato to other towns are in what they consider to be poor condition, making it difficult for people to move around, transport products and access essential services. The population says that the situation worsens at night, increasing the community's isolation.

"We urgently need the roads to be repaired. For a long time now, we've had difficulties getting in and out of the town," said one resident, stressing that improving the roads could boost the local economy and make day-to-day life easier for residents.

Another point raised by the community is the need to strengthen vocational training and opportunities for young people. Residents argue that the lack of training and educational alternatives has contributed to youth unemployment and to many young people leaving the area in search of better opportunities.

For the population, investing in the qualification of young people - through professional courses, training programs and institutional partnerships - is fundamental to creating jobs and promoting the sustainable development of Mato.

The residents now hope that the competent authorities can listen to the community's demands and include road rehabilitation and youth training among the intervention priorities for the locality.
